Skill Set Challenge No. 2

Another skill set task set by our lecturer for this week was to create a composition from some objects:

• 2 x photos
• 1 x drawing
• 1 x title text
• 1 x body text
• 1 x coloured bar
• 1 x page number that had to be 10

The new layout had to be dynamically interesting and visually strong using all the components given. We were allowed to decide the sizes, format, fonts and layout of the page, as well as edit any photos if we wished to. 

I chose to create a coloured bar that would be set in the background of the layout. The colours for the bar was picked out of one of the images and used to create a coloured background that would juxtapose the edited black and white image in the foreground. The drawing had a grey background which I decided to edit to leave a plain white background. 

I understand that this task encouraged us to edit and create layouts from random images which we might get given in practice, and I did enjoy editing the images to create a layout that I thought displayed the images in a different way.
